Mechele Pruitt brings over three decades of experience to the field of child development and her work with families. She was the Director of Early Childhood programs in SIlicon Valley as new start ups were emerging and served 100 children between her two Reggio Emilia inspired sites. Later she worked for SFUSD serving children in the Autism Spectrum and with Learning Differences. She guided parents about the needs of these children and how to approach instruction while maintaining a love of learning. She has developed After School programs for three school districts, all with an Art’s emphasis and understanding that exposing children to their creative dimensions were equally important to the academic day. In San Francisco, she has held three Director non -profit, positions as a Child and Family Director and a parent coach.

​ While guiding parents in consultation about best practices for children and child rearing, she always holds the individual child and their specific temperament and needs in mind. She has spoken frequently at Private and Public Schools delivering her favorite class,”Positive Discipline” with the hope of better connecting parents to their children for life
